Dixon Drive Towns
Flood Study
Alpha & Omega Group was asked by Wake Land Design to perform a Non-FEMA Flood Study for Dixon Drive Townes in order to aid in the design of condos.
An unnamed stream was known to bound the location. As the stream’s length surpassed 400 feet, it was necessary to delineate the stream’s 100-year floodplain. Surveyed cross sections of the stream were necessary for this delineation.
A&O developed preformed the flood study using typographic data, survey data and proposed grating data. They also included a comparison table in order to demonstrate that there were no impacts to the properties that surrounded the unnamed stream. Once the study had been completed, it was submitted to the City of Raleigh Stormwater Management for review and approval. Ω
