Cypress Meadows Subdivision
Site Development
Alpha & Omega Group provided civil engineering services for a new 53-acre, 152-lot subdivision in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
The scope consisted of preparing the site plan and construction drawings for a 53.5-acre tract for development of a 152-lot residential subdivision. Civil engineering services included site layout, sidewalks, grading, erosion control, water and sanitary sewer services, public water main and sewer main extensions, road improvements and storm drainage. Two wet retention ponds were designed to meet NCDENR stormwater quality requirements and to control the quantity of runoff. The permanent stormwater control measures were used as temporary skimmer basins during the construction phase. We also provided services for the design and permitting of a required sanitary lift station and associated force main required for the subdivision.
A&O oversaw the submission of the site plan construction drawings to Wake County and the Town of Fuquay Varina and sanitary lift station construction drawings to North Carolina Department of Natural and Environmental Resources for approval and permitting.
A&O provided limited construction administration services that included preparation of as-built record drawings of the infrastructure; engineer’s certification of utilities and stormwater ponds; review of construction cost estimates of stormwater ponds; and field inspection of the stormwater ponds upon completion.
