Aversboro Elementary School
Civil Site Design
Alpha & Omega Group was selected by GMK Associates for civil engineering services to redevelop the 19.3 acre site for a new elementary School in 2007.
The proposed building was constructed behind the existing building while school was in session to minimize student displacement during the construction phase. Close coordination between the contractor and the school staff was a key element to the success of this project. Car pool traffic was brought back onto the school site and off the surrounding roadways while allowing traffic to depart in multiple directions.
A&O’s work included grading, erosion control, stormwater management, BMP design, parking lot and car pool design, public waterline extension, water and sanitary sewer design, and private sanitary sewer design. Ω
