Camp Branch Sewer Pipe Foundation Repair
Emergency Repairs after Hurricane Matthew
A&O provided design services to the Town of Cary to repair three supports for an aerial sanitary sewer pipe, damaged by a fallen tree during Hurricane Matthew in October, 2016. The 48-inch sewer pipe crosses Camp Branch and is the major interceptor leading to the South Cary Water Reclamation Facility. It is considered critical infrastructure for the Town.
Our scope of services began with a thorough investigation of the concrete foundations supporting the aerial pipe. We checked for scour that would undermine the supports, as well as cracks and spalls, documenting all damage in a set of repair plans.
We developed and prepared plans for the repair of all cracks and spalls.
A&O developed an engineer’s opinion of construction cost and provided site visits and construction administration to completion. Ω
