Lake Royale Bridge Replacement
Construction Administration
After designing a replacement to an existing four-span bridge that carried traffic from Sagamore Drive across Lake Royale in Louisburg, NC, A&O provided bidding and construction administration for the Lake Royale Property Owners Association in order to oversee the replacement of the bridge.
Bidding assistance included negotiation, tabulation, evaluation, and notice of award to Dellinger, Inc. We finalized the agreement between Lake Royale POA and Dellinger, awarding the notice to proceed.
Construction administration services include a preconstruction meeting, progress meetings, invoice review, and a final inspection to close out the project. A&O coordinated with Geotechnologies, Inc., for construction materials testing services.
The replacement structure consists of a two-span cored slab superstructure on H-pile bent and end bents. During construction, a temporary work platform was needed to allow installation of new foundations for the structure. We coordinated water, sanitary and overhead electrical utilities for the replacement. Ω
