Emergency Bridge Replacements
Bond Lake, Cary
Alpha & Omega Group provided professional engineering services to the Town of Cary to design and prepare construction drawings for the replacement of two pedestrian bridges and one boardwalk at Bond Lake. The structures were damaged during flooding, and because they were all built over aerial sewer lines, the Town was concerned about the risk of further damage to the sewer lines.
The two bridges were replaced with culverts. A third structure, a 225-foot boardwalk on the Green Hope greenway, was replaced with a new boardwalk. A&O provided the data collection, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, structural design, and construction documents on these projects. Ω
