Wake County Convenience Site 10
Driveway Entrance and Pavement Improvements
To improve the flow of traffic through convenience center site 10, Alpha & Omega Group served Wake County by providing engineering services to add a second facility access for one-way traffic, upgrade the existing drop-off parking, and provide additional container space throughout the public side of the facility.
A&O coordinated with a surveyor for a topographic survey of the site and the roadway entrance. We produced a grading plan, erosion control plan, and a site plan for the project, along with pertinent construction details and specifications. We coordinated with NCDOT for a driveway permit and a two-party encroachment agreement for the installation of a driveway culvert.
As an amendment to the original contract, A&O developed a pavement marking plan, which included 48-inch flexible delineator posts, directional arrows for traffic, parking stalls for public drop-off use, and signage to assist the public in use of the facility.
A&O provided an engineer’s opinion of construction cost, assisted with bidding, provided construction administration, and provided as-built record plans. Ω
