Lynn Road EMS Pavement Replacement
Structural and Roadway Engineering
Alpha & Omega Group was selected to perform roadway and structural engineering to Wake County for the improvement of one of their Emergency Management Services station located off of Lynn Road.
Wake County determined that it was necessary to improve the parking lots of the station. To do this, they wanted the pavement removed and regraded with a supplement base course material and then repaved. They also wanted minor repairs to the existing concrete.
A&O coordinated with Newcomb Land Surveyors to produce a topographic survey, as well as developed construction plans to replace the existing placement including concrete pads, anchor timbers, curb repair, and minor grading to direct stormwater. They also reviewed the ADA code and located the best location for handicapped parking and access. Once this was completed, they provided a project manual and engineer’s opinion of cost and assisted with the bidding. A&O provided construction administration and observation. Once the project was complete, they submitted the as-built record drawings to Wake County. Ω
