Wake County Convenience Center Site #5 Entrance Modification
Driveway Entrance and Pavement Improvement
Alpha & Omega Group provided professional services to improve the traffic flow through the site with the excavation of a secondary driveway approach for Site #5.
A&O designed a roadway cut through a wooded section of the property to add a second connection to Battle Bridge Road, and allowing a one-way traffic flow through the site. The added driveway includes a culvert for drainage in the public right-of-way, and working with NCDOT for an approach permit. The existing asphalt will be removed and the site will be regraded and repaved. Additional paving will be added around the concrete loading areas for large trucks to load and unload.
A&O coordinated with Bartlett Engineering & Survey for a topographic survey of the site. Civil engineering scope included demolition and erosion control plans; grading, drainage, and staking plans; and misc. details. We provided project specifications for the project and an engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost for each site, and will assisted with bidding, provided construction administration, and provided closeout documents.
