Alpha & Omega Group provided engineering services for the design and construction observation of a bridge located in Franklin County, NC. During a routine inspection, A&O noted significant deterioration of the bridge in Tessentee Woods, once this was noticed, the Property Owner’s Association requested that A&O plan repairs for the bridge.

In order to offer the best solution possible, the existing timber deck and steel elements were removed and replaced with new and stronger components. This would eliminate the deteriorated pieces and raise the weight capacity of the bridge to being able to accommodate legal load limits.

A&O provided a “no-rise” certification for Tessentee Creek. They also provided construction documents including the demolition plan, bridge plan and profile, typical sections, and any construction specifications. Once the materials were delivered, the A&O team preformed bid evaluation and consideration, as well as construction observation and consultation. Ω
